Tori O'Neill

Tori O'Neill

Tori O'Neill

Board Secretary
(Folklight Film Club)

Tori O'Neill has been working in the hospitality industry for more than half her life (15 years, if we're being specific). Her career spans multiple facets of the industry across multiple countries.

Before planning multi-million dollar events for top global companies, Tori began her career as an ice cream server at Cold Stone Creamery in Walnut Creek, CA as a young 15-year-old. She quickly progressed to store supervisor and found her passion for leading teams, cake decorating and serving guests. She then migrated to the restaurant industry where she landed positions with Lark Creek Restaurant Group, both in Northern California and later in Southern California during college at San Diego State University. She was a food runner and hostess for several years while working towards her BA in Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Diego State University. Tori also worked one of her favorite internships during this time as an event coordinator with Adrenaline Lacrosse. With this company, she helped plan several professional high school recruiting tournaments by arranging the hotel, transportation and activities for over 80 recruiters from universities across the US & Canada. This experience helped her determine that event management was truly her passion.

After graduating Cum Laude from SDSU, Tori decided to move abroad and immerse herself in another culture (albeit English-speaking). She found herself booking a one-way ticket to Australia where she lived in Adelaide and Mt. Buller (near Melbourne) for one year. The year was spent traveling, meeting new people, trying new things (bungee!) and eating new cuisines (crocodile & kangaroo). She worked as a waitress and truly figured out who she was as an adult. After her Australian visa expired, she realized that she was not yet ready to return to the U.S., so she moved "across the Tasman" to New Zealand. There she spent another 4 years living in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. She was able to easily insert herself into their hospitality industry by working her way up through several Accor Hotel properties as a restaurant supervisor and then restaurant manager. She finished out her time in NZ as the general manger of TriBeCa, which was consistently voted into the top 25 restaurants of New Zealand. Tori considers her time abroad to be invaluable and helped to shape the person she is today.

In 2013, Tori moved back to her roots in Northern California. She found her hospitality feet again at the Sheraton Sonoma County - Petaluma as the catering sales manager and was later promoted to conference services manager. She helped clients plan large multi-day events, including the renown local Artisan Cheese Festival. After a few years, Tori felt that she needed an entirely new challenge. This was one that she had been working towards during college - full event management. She landed an event manager position with Enterprise Events Group, a 3rd party event logistics agency that helps corporations develop their internal/external conferences and incentive trips. Tori has been working there for 2 years now and was recently promoted to senior event manager. While traveling across the country (and across the world in the future), she has helped her tech clients plan successful programs for 550 - 2200 attendees and overseeing budgets as high as $10 million.

Tori loves her career and home in Windsor, CA that she shares with her husband, Chris O'Neill and their brand new puppy Westley.
